Narrowly short of the series high for a live broadcast, the season premiere of NBC’s “The Blacklist” closes the gap–and then some–with three days of time-shifted viewership added to the calculation.
According to NBC, Monday’s second season premiere attracted 17.36 million viewers in the Live+3 Nielsens. That tops the series’ previous high mark of 16.9 million, which came in conjunction with last September’s series premiere.
The total of 17.36 million reveals that an additional 5.2 million watched “The Blacklist” outside of the live+same-day window.
While this week’s episode does not set a Live+3 record for adults 18-49, it did score very well in the demo. The episode’s 4.87 Live+3 adults 18-49 rating is the best for “The Blacklist” since the fall finale drew a 4.88 on December 2, 2013.
