Ratings: “New Girl,” “Mindy,” “Utopia” Down This Week (Updated)

Update: Leading out of a deflated “Utopia” (0.8 adults 18-49 rating, 1.91 million viewers), FOX’s Tuesday comedies both suffered week-over-week declines.

9PM entry “New Girl” slipped to a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 2.35 million viewers. Lead-out “The Mindy Project” sank to a mere 1.0 with 2.10 million.

Adding in-season competition from ABC, CBS and NBC did not provide FOX’s already-underwhelming Tuesday lineup with any favors.

All three of the network’s shows, in fact, fell considerably from last Tuesday’s marks.

The struggle began at 8PM when reality series “Utopia” drew a mere 1.5 overnight household rating. The mark trailed last week’s disappointing number by a notable 21%.

Thanks to weakened lead-in support, the removal of premiere curiosity and competition from CBS’ “NCIS: New Orleans,” NBC’s “The Voice” and ABC’s “Agents of SHIELD,” 9PM comedies “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” also slipped.

The former’s 2.0 overnight household rating trailed last week’s mark by 13%. The latter’s 1.7 represented a 15% drop.

Adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers will be released by noon.
