Nico & Vinz’ “In Your Arms” Explodes at Pop, Bea Miller Starts Well

Do you ever find yourself asking, “Am I Wrong?” If you anticipated Maroon 5’s “Animals” impacting as pop radio’s most-added song, you were indeed incorrect.

That honor instead went to Nico & Vinz’ “In Your Arms.” The newly-impacting follow-up to smash “Am I Wrong” scored an impressive 67 monitored Mediabase adds this week.

Better than the 60 earned by the new Maroon 5 song, the sum positioned “In Your Arms” as the format’s most-added.

Open arms for “In Your Arms” came from powerhouse stations like New York’s Z100, Los Angeles’ 97.1 AMP, Los Angeles’ Radio Disney LA, Chicago’s 103.5 KISS.

The list of major market “Animals” supporters now includes Z100 and 103.5 KISS.

The clear leaders on the Top 40 add board, “In Your Arms” and “Animals” were not, however, the only songs to make noise this week.

Former “X Factor” contestant Bea Miller made a serious impact with her single “Young Blood.” The buzzworthy tune commanded support from 30 monitored pop stations this week.

Nick Jonas’ “On the Verge” song “Jealous” followed with a healthy add count of 23, while Pitbull’s Top 20 hit “Fireball” ranked as fifth-most-added on the strength of 22 new pickups.

Alesso’s “Heroes (we could be) (featuring Tove Lo),” the week’s sixth-most-added song, landed at 19 new pop stations. New York’s Z100 opted to get in on that particular piece of action.

Also added by nineteen stations each, Calvin Harris’ “Blame (featuring John Newman)” and Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars” tied “Heroes” in 6th place on the add board.

Locked in a three-way tie for eighth place, Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries,” Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” and Mr Probz’ “Waves” claimed the final top ten positions this week. Each song received 14 adds.
