The Pretty Reckless’ “Messed Up World” Returns to #1

Last Wednesday, The Pretty Reckless’ “Messed Up World” surged to #1 on Mediabase’s rolling active rock airplay chart.

It spent several days in the position before losing the throne to Linkin Park’s “Until it’s Gone” over the weekend.

Unfortunately for TPR, Mediabase issues its official, weekly airplay charts (which measure airplay between Sunday and Saturday of the previous week) on Sunday evenings. “Messed Up World,” therefore, did not get to claim an official #1 on Mediabase’s active rock chart.

It might get to do so this week.

The recipient of 1,707 active rock spins between September 5 and September 11, “Messed Up World” is once again #1 on Mediabase’s rolling airplay chart. Previous leader “Until it’s Gone,” which received 1,697 plays during the aforementioned window, slips to #2.

If “Messed Up World” can maintain its lead for the next two days, it will claim the top spot on this Sunday’s official chart.

The follow-up to TPR’s smash “Heaven Knows,” “Messed Up World” spent one week at #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart. It reached a peak of #2 on last week’s Mediabase Active Rock airplay chart.
