Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries” Already Has Alt’s #24 Audience

Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries,” which shared most-added honors with Bleachers’ “Rollercoaster,” is already making moves on the alternative radio airplay chart.

Just launched this week, “Centuries” had received 139 alternative spins by the end of Tuesday. According to Mediabase, that was the 50th-largest play count for the entire seven day period between September 3 and September 9.

And insofar as it received airplay in high-profile markets, the new Fall Out Boy tune is charting even more impressively from an airplay standpoint. Its impression count of 1.08 million was the alternative format’s 24th-largest for the aforementioned seven day period.

As a point of comparison, the aforementioned Bleachers tune, which is up to #42 on the airplay chart has received 193 spins but only 0.63 million audience impressions over the trailing seven days.

As of press time, “Centuries” was the #3 song on the overall iTunes Single Sales chart.
