Ratings: FX’s “The Bridge” Hits Six-Week High

While it did not roar back to season one levels, Wednesday’s edition of “The Bridge” did deliver the series’ best adults 18-49 rating and viewership total since July 23.

The latest edition of FX’s sophomore drama drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.19 million viewers. The figures were both up 25% from the corresponding 0.3 and 0.95 million drawn by last week’s broadcast.

After delivering a 0.5 rating with 1.29 million viewers on July 23, “The Bridge” received a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating for its five subsequent airings. The July 30 episode was the only one of those episodes to attract more than 1 million viewers (its audience clocked in at 1.13 million).

Never a ratings blockbuster, the crime drama performed respectably by cable standards for much of its inaugural season.

The ratings picture has been considerably bleaker in season two. Save for the premiere episode, no second season installment has attracted as many viewers as the least-watched first season episode.

Four second season episodes garnered fewer than 1 million viewers.
