Dustin Lynch’s “Where it’s At” Hits #5 at Country, Dierks at #1

For Dustin Lynch’s latest single, the Top 5 is “Where it’s At.”

Originally boosted by the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program, Lynch’s single has recently been waging its own fight for a premium spot on the country radio airplay chart. It has gotten there.

According to Mediabase, “Where it’s At” scored 6,541 spins to rank as country’s 5th-most-played song between August 16 and August 22. It should have no difficulty holding that position for another day, at which point it will be recognized as #5 Mediabase’s official, published airplay chart.

Its 47.91 million audience impressions between that seven day period also ranked as the country format’s 5th-largest.

Hoping to hold off Tim McGraw’s “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s (featuring Faith Hill)” and secure a second week at number one is Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane.” For the seven days ending August 22, Bentley’s hit garnered 7,896 spins. The Tim McGraw song, which is #2 on the rolling chart, received 7,775 plays.

Other top five songs include Lady Antebellum’s “Bartender” (#3) and Kenny Chesney’s “American Kids” (#4).
