Hot 100: Tove Lo’s “Habits” Goes Top 30, Echosmith Enters Top 40

Somebody once said something about staying high all the time.

That notion is proving true for Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High),” which enjoys another gain on the Billboard Hot 100.

After landing at #38 last week, the singer-songwriter’s breakthrough effort cruises to #30 on the latest edition of Billboard’s all-encompassing chart.

Now rocketing at pop radio thanks to support from iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” program, “Habits” should only go higher in the weeks to come.

— While “Habits” celebrates entry into the Top 30, Echosmith’s buzzworthy track “Cool Kids” achieves a milestone of its own.

After reaching #43 last week, “Kids” officially enters the Top 40 with a lift to #31 on the Hot 100. A recent recipient of the “On the Verge” treatment at Hot AC, “Cool Kids” recently advanced to the #20 spot at pop radio.

— Also new to the Top 40: Chris Brown’s “New Flame (featuring Usher and Rick Ross).” It surges 35 places to reach #38.

— KONGOS’ “Come With Me Now,” which peaked at #31 earlier this summer, returns to the Top 40 on this week’s chart. It jumps ten places to #36.
