Nickelback is back, and rock radio is seemingly very excited.
The Canadian band’s new “Edge of a Revolution” received a warm reception from active rock radio programmers this week. According to Mediabase, the song landed at 23 monitored stations to rank as the format’s most-added tune.
In addition to making a strong impact at rock radio, “Revolution” also made an impressive debut on iTunes. As of press time, the song was up to #21 on the digital retailer’s all-genre single sales chart.
— Unable to rival the “Edge of a Revolution” count, Pop Evil’s “Beautiful” earned solid support from rock radio nonetheless. It ranked as second-most-added with 12 monitored adds.
Sixx AM’s surging hit “Gotta Get it Right” followed with 10 adds, while HELLYEAH’s “Moth” and The Black Keys’ “Gotta Get Away” earned 6 adds and 5 adds, respectively.
