Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” Again Leads Sales Chart

Make it two in a row for Meghan Trainor, whose “All About That Bass” maintains its #1 position on the Billboard Digital Songs chart.

According to Billboard, Trainor’s breakthrough tune, which held #1 on iTunes for the near entirety of last week, drove 239,000 paid downloads. Up 21% from last week’s mark, the total gives “Bass” a lead of more than 100,000 over the number two song.

Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang,” that song, moved 131,000 digital copies last week.

Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” follows at #3. It sparked 125,000 purchases, which represents a week-over-week gain of 17%.

Fueled by growing excitement for her “My Everything” album and the release of the music video, Ariana Grande’s “Break Free” rockets to #4 this week. Its 116,000 weekly sales mark represents a gain of 54%.

Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” follows at #4 courtesy its 105,000 sales.

Grande then becomes the first female artist in history to simultaneously claim three spots in the Top 6 of the Billboard digital sales chart. Her “Best Mistake (featuring Big Sean)” ranks as the week’s top debut with sales of 104,000.

MAGIC!’s “Rude” (104,000, #7), Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be (featuring Jess Glynne)” (95,000, #8), Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down” (93,000, #9) and Sia’s “Chandelier” (93,000, #10) complete the top ten.
