Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt” is now one of country radio’s ten-most-played songs.
While Mediabase’s “official” airplay chart does not go to print until Sunday night, “Dirt” makes the leap into the Top 10 on Saturday’s rolling edition of the chart.
That rolling chart, which measures airplay from August 9-15, lists “Dirt” as the country format’s 9th-most-played song. It received 4,774 country radio spins during that window.
Its audience impression count of 36.89 million is also #9 for country.
Aiming to quickly join “Dirt” in the Top 10 is Luke Bryan’s “Roller Coaster.” That move, which would require “Coaster” to charge past Billy Currington’s free-falling “We are Tonight” will likely happen in time for Sunday’s edition of the chart.
— As superstar duo FGL celebrates the Top 10 ranking that will surely be made official in the next published edition of Mediabase’s chart, Sam Hunt prepares to earn a Top 20 mark. After experiencing an unexpected slowdown last week, Hunt’s “Leave the Night On” is back in action with country’s 6th-largest spin gain between August 9 and 15. With 3,447 total spins during that period, it was country’s 20th-most-played song.
