Hot 100: Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” ScHoolboy Q’s “Studio” Go Top 40

Songs by Pharrell, Meghan Trainor and Iggy Azalea all made huge gains on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, but they were not the only tracks to dark into the chart’s esteemed Top 40.

Other new Top 40 arrivals include ScHoolboy Q’s “Studio (featuring BJ the Chicago Kid)” and Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ’em (featuring YG).”

The former song moves up nine places to #38 on the chart. It becomes the second Top 40 for ScHoolboy Q, who also appears as a featured artist on Tinashe’s #24 song “2 On.”

Jeremih, meanwhile, notches a third career Top 40 with “Don’t Tell ‘Em.” The song, which advances to #40 this week, follows the artist’s previous releases “Birthday Sex” and “Down on Me (featuring 50 Cent)” in making the climb. Both of those songs topped out #4.

Insofar as “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” which scored a major add from Z100 this week, looks capable of a solid pop crossover, it could make a very impressive run up the Hot 100 chart in the coming weeks.
