One benefited immensely from the release of its new, buzzworthy music video.
One was already benefiting from a viral video and recently jumped into the Top 10 (now Top 2) on iTunes’ overall single sales chart. It also spent the past week gaining considerable ground at radio.
One does not yet have a video but made another set of rises on the Radio Songs and Digital Songs charts.
All three songs rocket in the Top 30 of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Pharrell’s “Come Get it Bae,” the first of the three aforementioned tracks, makes the biggest leap into the Top 30. Ranked at just #60 on last week’s chart, the song surges to #23 in conjunction with the release of its video. Miley Cyrus, who contributes vocals to the track, also appears in the visual representation.
Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” the second of the aforementioned tracks, also makes an impressive vault into the Top 30. After ranking at #54 on last week’s edition of the Hot 100 (which marked a gain of 30 places from the previous week), “Bass” flies to #28 on this week’s chart thanks to similarly skyrocketing sales and airplay points. Already several places higher on iTunes–and on radio airplay charts–than it was when this week’s chart calculation was concluded, it should be looking at another rise next week.
Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora),” the last of the three aforementioned tracks, jumps sixteen places to #29. A steady gainer on the Radio and Digital Songs charts, “Black Widow” has not even yet benefited from the massive splash its “Kill Bill”-themed video is due to make upon arrival.
