Ed Sheeran’s “Don’t” Goes Top 30 at Pop, Rita Ora Hits High

If you’re following the chart run of Ed Sheeran’s new song, “Don’t” blink.

The follow-up to Top 10 radio single “Sing” advances to the Top 30 slot on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling pop radio airplay chart.

The format’s 29th-most-played songs over the seven day period between July 21 and 27, Sheeran’s “Don’t” garnered 1,773 spins and 8.43 million audience impressions over that period.

The spin count represents an impressive week-over-week gain of 795, which is the format’s tenth-largest.

Other notables on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling pop airplay chart:

— Enrique Iglesias’ rapidly rising “Bailando (featuring Descemer Bueno, Sean Paul and Gente de Zona)” reaches a new high of #18.

— Rita Ora’s “I Will Never Let You Down” advances one spot to a new peak of #22. It is, however, rapidly decelerating — its latest spin count (2,845) represents a gain of just 64 from the week prior.

Even if “I Will Never Let You Down” does start regressing, Ora should still go Top 10 as part of the Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow.” That song is #17 on the chart and the pop format’s fifth-fastest-riser.

— Kiesza’s “Hideaway” hits a new high of #23.

— Ingrid Michaelson’s “Girls Chase Boys” flies up to #28.

— Meghan Trainor’s surging “All About That Bass,” which is still #4 on iTunes, hits a new high of #33. It should enter the Top 30 by Tuesday’s update.
