As the fifth single from Luke Bryan’s “Crash My Party,” “Roller Coaster” did not receive a high-profile launch in the vein of Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt” or Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down.”
It is, however, making a very impressive run up the country airplay chart.
The well-reviewed song rises nine spots to #19 at the published edition of Mediabase’s country radio airplay chart. The song received 3,009 spins and 25.00 million audience impressions during the measured period between July 20 and July 26.
Currently rising at a laudable pace of 801 spins/week (the format’s 4th-best), “Roller Coaster” should have no problem soaring much higher on the chart.
Other notables on this week’s edition of the Mediabase country chart:
— As projected by Headline Planet, Joe Nichols’ “Yeah” scored an official #1 on this week’s Mediabase chart. Billy Currington’s “We Are Tonight” and Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance” follow at #2 and #3, respectively.
— Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane” rises 3 spaces to #4 on this week’s chart. Brad Paisley’s “River Bank” holds tight at #5.
— Lady Antebellum’s “Bartender” and Dustin Lynch’s “Where it’s At” officially enter the Top 10 at #8 and #10, respectively.
— Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt” rises eight spaces to #14.
— Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood’s “Somethin’ Bad” jumps into the Top 20 at #17.
— Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down” debuts at #27.
— The Top 40 welcomes Dan + Shay’s “Show You Off” (#38), Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy” (#39) and Justin Moore’s “Home Sweet Home” (#40).
— Notable gainers just outside the Top 40 include RaeLynn’s #44 “God Made Girls” (+8 spots, #255 spins), Maddie & Tae’s #46 “Girl in a Country Song” (+7 spots, +215 spins), Jana Kramer’s #41 “Love” (+2 spots, +117 spins) and Hunter Hayes’ #42 “Tattoo” (+2 spots, +101 spins).
