2014 Emmy Nominations; “OITNB,” “Game of Thrones” Lead

Call it a game of pros and cons.

On the one hand, the 2014 Emmy nominations list, which was revealed Thursday, largely omits buzzworthy and critically acclaimed series like FX’s “The Americans” and FOX’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” from the key races

On the other hand, it also recognized beloved shows like HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black.”

With 19 and 12 nominations, the two series, in fact, represent the year’s most-nominated drama and comedy programs, respectively. FX’s “Fargo” ranks as the most-nominated miniseries with 19 nods, while HBO’s “The Normal Heart” scored sixteen points of recognition to rank as the most-nominated made-for-TV-movie.
