Jennifer Lopez’ “AKA” Album Sales Pacing for 30-35K, Tiesto Less

While relatively young artists Lana Del Rey and Sam Smith dominate the weekly album sales race, veteran entertainer Jennifer Lopez will be left watching from a distance.

Her new album “AKA” is pacing to move just 30-35,000 copies in its inaugural week, according to the latest report from Hits Daily Double.

A far cry from the 83,100 moved by predecessor “Love?,” the projected tally pales in comparison to the 170-190,000 forecast for Del Rey’s “Ultraviolence” and 140-160,000 for Sam Smith’s “In the Lonely Hour.”

It will also greatly trail the 100-110,000 mark expected of Linkin Park’s “The Hunting Party.”

Country legend Willie Nelson, meanwhile, will land in the same range as J-Lo. His “Band of Brothers” looks safe for a bow in the 35-40,000 range.

Tracking lighter than the Lopez album are a pair of releases from house/EDM standouts.

Deadmau5’s “while(1<2)” is tracking for 25-30,000 this week. Despite containing two Top 40 radio hits in “Red Lights” and “Wasted,” Tiesto’s “A Town Called Paradise” will follow with just 12-15,000.
