Billboard’s Hot 100 once again belongs to Iggy Azalea, who appears in the chart’s #1 and #2 spots.
Her breakthrough hit “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” reigns atop the chart for the fourth consecutive week. Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” to which she contributes as a featured artist, holds at #2.
The first act since The Beatles simultaneously the #1 and #2 positions with her first two Hot 100 hits, Azalea has spent four weeks enjoying that rare achievement. The Beatles, which accomplished the feat in 1964, spent ten weeks in the top two positions thanks to “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You.”
One song that could thwart Azalea’s pursuit of that milestone is MAGIC!’s breakthrough hit “Rude.” Still rising at radio and impressing on the iTunes sales chart, the song ascends to a new peak of #3 on the Hot 100 this week.
In reaching #3, “Rude” sends John Legend’s “All of Me” down to #4. Jason DeRulo’s “Wiggle (featuring Snoop Dogg)” holds at #5.
Other top ten songs include DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” (#6), Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” (#7), Pharrell’s “Happy” (#8), Calvin Harris’ “Summer” (#9) and Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” (#10).
The week’s best debut belongs to PSY, whose “Hangover (featuring Snoop Dogg)” enters the Hot 100 at #29. Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be (featuring Jess Glynne)” debuts at #97, while Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors’ “Jungle” starts at #100.
One of the week’s most notable gains belongs to “Fancy” contributor Charli XCX. Her solo release “Boom Clap” surges 33 places to #29.
Pitbull’s “We Are One (Ole Ola) (featuring Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte)” re-enters the chart at #59 thanks to its inclusion in the World Cup.
