5 Seconds of Summer Has Biggest Sales Week Yet with “Good Girls”

“She Looks So Perfect” might have been the band’s breakthrough single, but it is “Good Girls” that sets a new sales high mark for 5 Seconds of Summer.

According to Billboard, the band’s most recent album preview track garnered 121,000 paid downloads last week. It ranks as #8 on the latest Billboard Digital Songs chart.

“Don’t Stop,” also a preview release, held the previous high mark with 91,000 copies sold.

Thanks to sales of 283,000 Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” repeats at #1 on the Digital Songs chart. Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” which features Azalea, holds at #2 with sales of 243,000.

Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” retains third place with a weekly paid download count of 149,000. MAGIC!’s breakthrough “Rude” surges to #4 with weekly sales of 141,000, while DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” holds at #5 on the strength of 137,000.

Jason DeRulo’s “Wiggle (featuring Snoop Dogg)” improves to #6 with 133,000, while John Legend’s “All of Me” slips to #7 with sales of 123,000.

The aforementioned “Good Girls” lands in eighth place, besting Pharrell’s “Happy” (#9, 113,000) and Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” (#10, 103,000). The ascent gives Sam Smith his first Top 10 single on the Digital Songs chart.
