Christina Grimmie Ends “The Voice” Run with 2 More Hot 100 Hits

Christina Grimmie did not emerge from last week’s “The Voice” finale as the victor, but she did send two more singles to the Hot 100.

After previously charting with her covers of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” (#74) and “How to Love” (#79), the sixth season contestant on NBC’s flagship reality series returns to the Hot 100 with her most successful single yet.

“Somebody That I Used to Know,” the duet Grimmie performed with her coach Adam Levine on last Monday’s final “The Voice” performance show, debuts at #66 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Can’t Help Falling in Love,” her new solo performance from Monday’s “The Voice,” also lands on the Hot 100. It debuts at #74.

Despite the Hot 100 success, which is a product of strong sales interest in her recordings, Grimmie placed third on the sixth season of NBC’s “The Voice.” Josh Kaufman won the competition, while Jake Worthington placed second.
