Paramore’s “Ain’t it Fun” continues to rise at radio.
According to Mediabase, the song was Top 40 radio’s third-most-played song for the seven days ending May 21. A new peak for the tune, the #3 position puts “Ain’t it Fun” behind only John Legend’s “All of Me” and Justin Timberlake’s “Not a Bad Thing” on the rolling airplay chart.
That latter song, meanwhile, will soon overtake “All of Me” to become the format’s most-played song.
Already stocked with a group of fresh tunes, including Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” (#5), Ed Sheeran’s “Sing” (#6), DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” (#7) and Rixton’s “Me & My Broken Heart” (#8), the Top 10 is due to imminently welcome more newcomers to the fold.
Calvin Harris’ “Summer” (#12) and Katy Perry’s “Birthday” (#13) are on the verge of entering the Top 10 at the expense of declining songs like American Authors’ “Best Day of My Life” (#9) and Naughty Boy’s “La La La (featuring Sam Smith)” (#10). Perry’s “Dark Horse (featuring Juicy J),” which currently occupies the #11 position, is also falling.
Other songs currently at peaks include Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” (#15), Nico & Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” (#25). Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me,” meanwhile, continues its explosive ascent. It is already #25.
Big gainers outside of the Top 25 include Jason DeRulo’s “Wiggle (featuring Snoop Dogg)” (#29), Afrojack’s “Ten Feet Tall (featuring Wrabel)” (#31), OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out” (#34) and Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good (with Justin Timberlake)” (#38).
