Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum Erupt at Country Radio

While Dan + Shay’s “Show You Off” got off to a respectable start at country radio last week, neither it–nor any other song–made a significant impact.

This week, two songs earned blockbuster receptions from country radio programmers.

Brantley Gilbert’s “Small Town Throwdown (featuring Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett)” and Lady Antebellum’s “Bartender” both impacted the country format in monstrous fashion.

“Throwdown,” which earned twenty two early adds last week, entered a whopping 88 station rotations in conjunction with this week’s official launch. According to Mediabase, it was the week’s most-added song at country radio.

Lady Antebellum’s “Bartender” might have been forced to settle for second place, but its impact was nothing at which to sneeze. The trio’s latest earned 72 adds this week.

Jerrod Niemann’s new “Donkey” followed with a strong 43 adds, while Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy” earned a healthy 40. Dan + Shay’s “Show You Off,” the week’s fifth-most-added track, continued to infiltrate the format with 27 new pickups.
