ABC has predictably decided not to move forward with a second season of critically acclaimed comedy “Trophy Wife.”
Cast member Marcia Gay Harden confirmed the show’s unfortunate fate in a Tweet early Friday morning.
“Thank u 4 watching beloved fans. Parting is such sweet sorrow… @TrophyWifeABC cancelled just hours ago,” wrote the actress.
Although official confirmation has not yet emerged, ABC was also expected to pass on a second season of comedy “Mixology.”
— On the positive front, ABC did officially hand out a sixth season renewal to “The Middle.” It joins the nine series ABC officially renewed Thursday evening.
