Ariana Grande Again Splashes at Top 40, OneRepublic Starts Solidly

Experiencing zero “Problem” making an impact, the latest Ariana Grande single again reigned as Top 40 radio’s most-added track.

After exploding out of the gate with 55 adds last week, Grande’s “Problem,” which features Iggy Azalea, garnered an additional 66 station pickups this week according to the weekly Mediabase update. A certifiable behemoth, “Problem” is poised to make a major run up the airplay charts.

“Love Never Felt So Good (featuring Justin Timberlake),” the new track from the late Michael Jackson, follows with 49 Top 40 adds. One Direction’s surging “You & I” reigned as the week’s third-most-added track with 39 pickups at Top 40.

Hot Adult Contemporary’s most-added track also made a big impact in its Top 40 debut. OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out,” that song, ranked fourth for the week with 32 adds. Iggy Azalea’s unstoppable “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” and Jason DeRulo’s new “Wiggle (featuring Snoop Dogg)” tied for fifth position with 30 Top 40 adds.

Other notable debuts for the week included Rita Ora’s “I Will Never Let You Down” (15 adds, 10th-most-added), Jennifer Lopez’ “First Love” (10 adds, 14th-most-added).

With 3 adds a piece, Heffron Drive’s “Parallel” and Seven Lions’ “Strangers (featuring Tove Lo)” started slowly.
