Instant Save Keeps Tess Boyer On “The Voice,” But Two Don’t Survive

On Monday’s “The Voice” performance show, Team Shakira contestant Tess Boyer sang the Bon Jovi classic “I’ll Be There For You.”

During Tuesday’s “The Voice” results show, Boyer’s fans proved they were there for her.

One of the week’s three lowest-vote getters, Boyer found herself in the bottom three with Team Usher contestant TJ Wilkins and fellow Team Shakira member Dani Moz.

After watching her fellow bottom group members perform “I’ll Be” and “Turning Tables,” respectively, Boyer hit the stage with Kelly Clarkson’s “Dark Side.”

Her performance most successfully mobilized fans, who used their Twitter “Instant Save” to keep Boyer’s run in the competition alive.

Moz and Wilkins were eliminated from the competition.

Following Tuesday’s results show, Teams Blake Shelton (Sisaundra Lewis, Audra McLaughlin, Jake Worthington) and Adam Levine (Christina Grimmie, Delvin Choice, Kat Perkins) remain completely intact. Team Usher is now represented by just Josh Kaufman and Bria Kelly, while Team Usher Shakira’s hopes rest in Boyer and Kristen Merlin.

The top ten take the stage next Monday.
