Its reception at iTunes was reflective of that from the market at large. Iggy Azalea’s “The New Classic” is indeed pacing to rank as the week’s best-selling debut.
While its projected 50-55,000 total will pale in comparison to that of the enduring “Frozen” soundtrack, it should be enough to top releases from Future and Neon Trees.
According to Hits Daily Double’s early forecast, Future’s “Honest” will score a first-week count in the 45-50,000 range. Neon Trees’ “Pop Psychology,” meanwhile, is expected to move 17-19,000 units.
Not simply in possession of a presence on the album sales chart, Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” is also scoring on the single sales chart. As of press time, it was #5 on iTunes.
