HBO Gives “Veep” a Fourth Season, “Silicon Valley” a Second

Demonstrative of HBO’s satisfaction with its current Sunday lineup, all three series have earned renewals for next season.

On the heels of the news that “Game of Thrones” has been secured for a fifth (and sixth) season comes news that HBO has ordered a second season of comedy “Silicon Valley” and a fourth round of its Emmy-winning “Veep.”

The two comedies, which lead out of HBO’s blockbuster hit “Thrones,” began their respective first and third seasons on April 6.

Created by Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, “Silicon Valley” stars Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew and the late Christopher Evan Welch.

“Veep,” devised by Armando Iannucci, features Julia Louis Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw and Kevin Dunn.
