Asking rumormongers to “shut the f*ck up” regarding her health, Miley Cyrus issued an official statement on her illness Thursday.
Labeled an “extreme allergic reaction,” the illness, which resulted in Cyrus’ hospitalization, has forced her to cancel concerts.
“Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour,” reads the statement. “She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she’s now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to.
“This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time.”
Forced to miss concerts in the wake of her hospitalization, Cyrus expressed devastation about potentially upsetting her fans.
“Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans,” confirms the release.
She previously Tweeted, “i wanna go back on tour. im meant to be onstage performing for y’all…. not laying in a hospital bed.”
After postponing her Charlotte show due to the aforementioned battle with the flu, Cyrus has been forced by her current situation to postpone shows in St. Louis, Kansas City, Nashville and Louisville.
