Lana’s “West Coast” Explodes to Number Two, Nico & Vinz Crack Top 100

The focus of favorable reviews and immense buzz, Lana Del Rey’s “West Coast” has made a quick impact on iTunes’ Single Sales Chart.

After less than 24 hours of release, the Dan Auerbach-produced track has surged to number two on the digital retailer’s definitive chart. Only Pharrell’s enduring “Happy” is currently selling at a faster rate.

Auerbach is not, however, represented only by the Lana song. “Turn Blue,” the newest from his band The Black Keys, had reached #11 on the iTunes single sales chart by press time.

Other key movers:

— Proving to be the biggest beneficiary of exposure during MTV’s Movie Awards, twenty one pilots’ “Car Radio” has catapulted to #43 on the chart. Ellie Goulding’s “Beating Heart” ascended to #66 following her performance, while KONGOS’ show-opening “Come With Me Now” has enjoyed a slight jump to #75. Zedd’s “Find You (featuring Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant)” is #128 in the wake of its MTV exposure.

— Nico & Vinz’ “Am I Wrong,” which has taken Top 40 radio by storm, has ascended into the Top 100. As of press time, the Norwegian duo’s track was #95.
