Sting Teases Involvement in Next Year’s WWE WrestleMania 31

Update: While it does not change Sting’s tease–or the expectation that he will appear at next year’s WrestleMania–Undertaker’s loss at Sunday’s WrestleMania 30 definitely casts doubt on whether Sting’s big WWE debut match will be against The Deadman.

“I guess I have a new favorite number — it’s 31,” teased Steve “Sting” Borden to a crowd at Sunday’s WrestleCon in New Orleans, LA.

The significance? Next year’s WrestleMania will be the thirty first edition of the “Super Bowl” of wrestling, and Sting’s comment serves as a not-so-subtle indication that he will be on the show.

Months worth of rumors have suggested that Sting will participate in an eagerly anticipated match with Undertaker on the show, and Sting’s tease–to an appreciative crowd–seems to confirm that.

The question now concerns whether Sting will appear on this Sunday’s WrestleMania 30 or on the following night’s Monday Night RAW to begin promoting the match.

The video of the tease, posted by Instagram user jdew1492, follows:
