YG Overtakes Foster the People; “My Krazy Life” Leads Album Sales Race

Revised album sales projections are in, and rapper YG’s “My Krazy Life” is now tracking as the week’s strongest debut.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album is on pace to move 60-65,000 units in its opening week. While the final total will pale in comparison to that of the “Frozen” soundtrack, which might go over 200,000 this week, it should exceed that posted by all other newcomers.

Foster the People’s “Supermodel,” which initially appeared to be the week’s strongest release, is now pacing evenly with Skrillex’s “Recess” in the 50-55,000 range.

The Pretty Reckless’ “Going to Hell” is still looking for a solid 30-35,000 bow.

Other debut estimates include 20-25,000 for Enrique Iglesias’ “Sex & Love,” 20-25,000 for Taking Back Sunday’s “Happiness Is” and 16-18,000 for The Rend Collective’s “The Art of Celebration.”
