The CW’s “Star-Crossed” Overnight Ratings Fall Back Down

Update: The overnight number was not unfairly pessimistic. Monday’s “Star Crossed” garnered a series low viewership average of just 0.99 million.

Its 0.3 adults 18-49 rating matched the low set by the February 24 episode.

“Beauty and the Beast,” which followed at 9PM, registered a mere 0.2 rating with 800,000 viewers.

Unable to repeat last week’s spike, The CW’s “Star-Crossed” suffered a drop in the overnight ratings Monday.

Monday’s episode, the series’ fourth, posted a 0.8 overnight household rating. Down from last week’s 0.9, it was in line with the low 0.8 posted by the second episode.

The fast national ratings report, which ships by 11:30AM ET, will reveal whether “Crossed” suffered a similar drop in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic. Last week’s episode posted a 0.4 in that all-important demo, which marked an improvement from the 0.3 posted by the second episode.

“Beauty and the Beast,” which aired out of “Star-Crossed,” matched last week’s 0.7 overnight metered market number.
