Update: The overnight rating was not misleading. Based on the more precise fast national data, Tuesday’s “Glee” slipped to a non-holiday low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and a series low viewership average of just 2.6 million.
Despite the weakened lead-in support, “New Girl” enjoyed a 0.1 gain in the adults 18-49 demographic. Tuesday’s episode posted a 1.5 rating with 2.93 million viewers.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” which averaged 2.61 million viewers, matched last week’s 1.3 rating.

The descent into the abyss continues.
After setting a series low in the overnight metered market ratings (and a non-holiday low in total viewers) for last week’s telecast, FOX’s “Glee” managed to sink even lower this week.
Down a tenth from last week’s mark, this week’s “Trio” slipped to a 2.1 overnight household rating.
Even if the decline does not manifest itself in the adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers, which will be released at 11:30AM, it is clear “Glee” did not notably rebound last week. Its struggle to recapture fan interest persists.
“New Girl” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” which followed “Glee,” delivered a 2.1 and 2.0, respectively.
