NBC’s “About a Boy” Re-Run Tops Premiere Ratings

Thanks to vastly superior lead-in support, Tuesday’s encore of the “About a Boy” premiere outdelivered the initial airing on Saturday.

Leading out of “The Voice,” which drew a 3.7 adults 18-49 rating with 12.97 million viewers from 8-9PM and a 4.0 with 13.54 million in the 8:30-9PM half hour (to rank as the most successful, non-finale Tuesday edition of the “Voice” since October 22), NBC’s new comedy scored a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating with 8.34 million viewers.

Saturday’s premiere, which followed the penultimate night of Winter Olympics coverage, scored a 2.2 with 8.26 million viewers.

No “Voice,” Saturday’s Olympics telecast averaged a 2.7 for the night and a 2.9 in the final half hour before “Boy.”

Tuesday’s encore of the “Growing Up Fisher” premiere matched Sunday’s 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Viewership, however, declined to 7.04 million.

“Chicago Fire” ended NBC’s evening with a 1.8 rating and 7.10 million viewers.
