Eric Church’s “The Outsiders” Album Sales Pacing for 300K

Eric Church is on track to solidifying his standing as one of country music’s biggest superstars.

According to Hits Daily Double, “The Outsiders,” Church’s latest album, is pacing for an opening week sales count in the 280-300,000 range.

If that total holds, it will roughly double the 145,000 figure posted by predecessor “Chief” in 2011. It will also give Church a surefire number one debut on the Billboard 200, the best opening sales week of 2014 and one of the best starts for a country album in years.

Thanks to momentum from the album release, current single “Give Me Back My Hometown” is making its way up the iTunes sales chart. At press time, it was the digital retailer’s 17th best-selling single. Previous single “The Outsiders” is positioned at number 65.
