Drake’s “SNL” Episode Scores Decent Ratings

It was one of the best “Saturday Night Live” episodes of the season. Fittingly, it attracted one of the season’s best adults 18-49 ratings.

According to NBC, Saturday’s “SNL,” which featured Drake as the night’s host and musical guest, drew a solid 2.7 adults 18-49 rating in the Local People Meter markets.

Even with the number for the October 5 show, for which Miley Cyrus performed double duty, this week’s adults 18-49 rating narrowly edges the 2.6 posted by the Lady Gaga episode on November 16.

Other comparably rated episodes include the September 28 season premiere (hosted by Tina Fey, 2.7 A18-49 rating), the November 5 episode (hosted by Kerry Washington, 2.6A18-49 rating) and the December 7 episode (hosted by Paul Rudd, 2.5A18-49 rating). Hosted by Jimmy Fallon with musical guest Justin Timberlake, this year’s holiday episode drew a considerably stronger 3.9 rating on December 21.

Along with its 2.7 Local People Meter adults 18-49 rating, this week’s “SNL” drew a 4.7 overnight metered market household rating, which was in line with that of the Tina Fey-hosted season premiere (and below the marks delivered by the Fallon, Rudd, Gaga and Washington episodes).
