Ke$ha Gets Help for Eating Disorder; Loving Self “Hard to Practice”

Never shy about revealing her body and never silent in conversations about loving oneself, singer-songwriter Ke$ha has given onlookers every reason to believe she maintains a state of personal contentedness.

Unfortunately, what is on the surface was not representative of reality.

The singer announced Friday that she has checked into a rehab facility to deal with an eating disorder.

In the statement, she confirmed that she struggled to practice the messages of “being yourself and loving yourself” she so notably preached.

“I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice,” said the “Dirty Love” singer. “I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am.”

According to TMZ, Ke$ha will receive help at Timberline Knolls in Chicago. Fellow pop star Demi Lovato also received care at the facility.
