NBC Moves “Hannibal” to Fridays for Season Two

NBC announced that critically acclaimed drama “Hannibal” will relocate to Fridays for its upcoming second season.

Set to premiere February 28, 2014, the series will air its thirteen-episode second season out of NBC’s Friday staple “Grimm.” It previously aired in the Thursday at 10PM timeslot.

Best described as a modest ratings performer, “Hannibal” survived for a second season thanks to critical praise, low ratings standards for NBC’s dramas and a favorable demographic skew.

“Bryan and his team are running on all creative cylinders once again and have delivered episodes full of intrigue, scares and surprises,” said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. “The show continues to astound us with its incredible aesthetic beauty and its amazingly talented cast.”

“Dracula,” the current timeslot occupant, will have concluded its ten episode run prior to the “Hannibal” debut.
