The return of “Community” is unlikely to fuel the ratings miracle NBC so desperately needs on Thursdays, but given how the comedy trio of “Parks & Recreation,” “Sean Saves the World” and “The Michael J. Fox Show” is performing, it probably will not make things much worse.
With creator Dan Harmon back at the creative helm, “Community,” now sans original cast member Chevy Chase, opens its fifth season with back-to-back episodes on January 2.
