WWE RAW Ratings Improve for Big Show/HHH Fallout

Despite facing more sports competition, Monday’s WWE RAW, offering a follow-up to last week’s show-closing Big Show vs. Triple H angle, delivered slightly-improved ratings.

Fueled by hours of 1.5, 1.5 and 1.4, the three-hour telecast improved to a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. And though its viewership is far from remarkable by the standards of the show, its 3.99 million viewership average bested last week’s 3.71 million mark.

Though RAW is taking a hit against demographically-relevant competition from football and baseball, it is difficult to look the gift horse of improved ratings in the mouth.

That it beat last week’s number without the added assistance of post-Battleground buzz offers more cause for positive reception.

Monday’s RAW, which featured a Shawn Michaels interview at its commencement, also saw the continuation of the Big Show vs. Triple H storyline. The show ended when Show, much to HHH’s chagrin, helped Cody Rhodes and Goldust win the Tag Team Championships.
