Ratings for Monday’s WWE RAW, headlined by John Cena vs. Ryback and Kane vs. Daniel Bryan, fell from last week’s already-soft numbers.
Monday’s telecast, which was taped last week, delivered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 3.77 million viewers. Down in the demo from last week’s 1.4, the episode also trailed last week’s 4.00 million viewer average.
Aware that any major angles would have been spoiled by those in attendance at last week’s taping, WWE did not book anything significant into this week’s RAW and thus had no reason to assume the episode would carry a special attraction.
But by advertising Kane vs. Daniel Bryan and John Cena vs. Ryback after a well-reviewed main-event segment last week, WWE did give its audience some reason to tune in. And so while the aforementioned ratings are not necessarily bad for an unremarkable, taped episode of RAW, they certainly do not represent a positive.
