The power of Floyd Mayweather’s brand all but guarantees Saturday’s fight will be the most-purchased combat sports pay-per-view this year, but from an intrigue standpoint, the battle against Robert Guerrero left much to be desired.
Mayweather, as expected, cruised to an easy victory over Guerrero.
“Money” maintained his unbeaten streak via a 117-111 unanimous decision.
“Everybody was saying because I’m at the age of 36 that I didn’t have it any more, that my defense wasn’t sharp after the [Miguel] Cotto, but I’ve proven myself,” said Mayweather, who improves to 44-0.
