The Miz Defeats Wade Barrett, Wins IC Championship; WrestleMania 29 Results

WWE WrestleMania 29 kicked off with a title change.

In a very short pre-show match, Mike “The Miz” Mizanin defeated WWE’s Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett to claim the gold. Miz won with the Figure 4 Leglock he inherited from Ric Flair.

The crowd was lukewarm on the quick match, but it did provide a reasonable pop for Miz’s victory.
