“Community” Ratings Tank; “Parks and Recreation” Also Falls

Insofar as “Community” is known for starting off with a bang, many cautioned not to read too far into the solid ratings for last week’s premiere.

They were correct.

While Valentine’s Day surely took a bite out of the audience, the impact was not significant enough to fully explain away the decline. “Community” fell a whopping 42% to a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating with 2.8 million viewers.

“Parks and Recreation,” which also rose last week as a result of its pairing with “Community,” dipped to a 1.5 with 3.2 million viewers. An hourlong “The Office” followed with a 2.0 and 4.0 million viewers.
