“Jersey Shore” Finale Ratings Win Night, But Stay Well Below Show’s Peak

The final episode of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” won the cable ratings race Thursday, but the audience level was a far cry from the show’s peak numbers.

Once routinely capable of exceeding a 4.0 adults 18-49 rating, the sixth and final season finale posted just a 1.8 rating with 3.13 million viewers. That marked a significant gain from the previous episode’s 1.2, although the audience was actually smaller than that which tuned into the season six premiere.

The reunion special that followed delivered a 1.5 with 2.50 million viewers.
