Michael Bisping scored a unanimous decision victory over the always-game Brian Stann at UFC 152, but that might not be enough to earn Bisping a shot at Anderson Silva’s UFC Middleweight Championship.
UFC President Dana White did not rule out the fight–and, in fact, noted that it would be an intriguing matchup–but he would similarly not confirm plans call for such a bout. The winner of an upcoming match between Chris Weidman vs. Tim Boetsch will surely also be in the mix, and an eliminator between that winner and Bisping would not be out of the question if it aligns with Silva’s schedule.
White would simply confirm to reports that he is unsure of the next chapter in the Middleweight title story.
“I don’t know who’s next,” said White. “I know Bisping came to fight tonight and he looked great.”
