John Cena Claims He’ll Miss Six Weeks, Rants Against WWE Website

In one of the more bizarre WWE stories in recent weeks, John Cena ripped on the WWE website for misreporting information about his elbow injury.

Though WWE.com said Cena will be ring-ready in a few weeks, Cena says a more realistic turnaround time is six weeks. That timeframe greatly jeopardizes his participation in Hell in a Cell, at which he was scheduled to main-event against CM Punk.

“Some #jackwagon from @wwe dotcom apparently posted me recovering in 14 days. I spoke in depth with my surgeon Dr James Andrews and he specifically told me due to the amount of fragmentation, SIX WEEKS is a safer time table for recovery,” Tweeted Cena. “Website whos credibility is now equal to #theonion please @wwe web guys, get your monkey frankin facts straight!”

Cena continued the rant and noted that he would be happy to send WWE.com photos and video of his surgery to prove its severity.

Given Cena’s reputation as a “company man,” it is hard to believe the rant is not part of some storyline. But the kind of storyline WWE would be working in this scenario is equally hard to fathom.
