Concern over Jerry Lawler’s heart attack Monday remains serious, but the legendary WWE announcer received a truly encouraging piece of news: he did not suffer brain damage.
Because there was a period in which oxygen was not reaching Lawler’s brain, a grave concern stemming from Monday’s emergency was that the announcer would endure irreparable damage to his brain. But according to Lawler’s best friend and business partner Joe Copper, a CT scan proves that which was feared is not reality.
The upbeat results confirm that Lawler’s brain escaped unscathed.
Though Lawler’s condition has stabilized, he remains under heavy sedation and medical care.
The Hall of Fame WWE announcer suffered a sudden heart attack while broadcasting Monday’s RAW. Paramedics and staff quickly escorted Lawler to the backstage area, where he was revived and transported to a local hospital.
