Jason Kidd Close to Three-Year Deal with Dallas Mavericks

Once expected to follow Deron Williams as a backup point guard, Jason Kidd now appears focused on ending his career with the Dallas Mavericks.

While there are reportedly some other options on the table, it appears a three-year, $9 million deal from the Mavericks is what has Kidd’s focus right now. ESPN first reported those terms.

The deal would almost certainly take Kidd to the end of his career and thus aligns with a desire Kidd reiterated Wednesday to end his career with the team that drafted him.
