In the potentially-most-significant of several developments to occur outside the Octagon at UFC 146, Brock Lesnar was shown as a ringside spectator for the main-event of Junior dos Santos vs. Frank Mir.
While Lesnar’s appearance could easily mean nothing–this was an exciting card on paper, and it is natural for former champions and celebrities to attend such shows–speculation has already begun that Lesnar is eyeing another fight in the Octagon.
Lesnar, after all, is not the kind of person who would typically travel away from his home and family without a legitimate purpose.
Nothing substantial was confirmed, but UFC President Dana White did say he would be speaking with Lesnar after the show. White confirmed that fans know the difference between WWE and UFC and that he would not be averse to using a WWE-contracted performer inside the Octagon.
WWE, on the other hand, might not be so warm to the idea, given that the man it is pushing as a monster could easily lose his fourth “real” fight.
With Lesnar’s rival Frank Mir coming off a loss at UFC 146, the idea of pairing those two together has definitely crossed some minds (Lesnar was obviously not going to walk into a UFC title shot), but there is still nothing to suggest it will happen.
